It actually works like a charm, so this is a good method for the lazy/desperate. What I did after more than 6 hours of unsuccessfully trying it legitimately is to make the video run at the exact same time as my game, and kept my eyes on the notes bar in the video and totally ignored the TV screen (unless I hear Mikhail scream, meaning that I screwed up). It's basically the entire 8 minutes of suffering, plus notes that you can actually see at the top of the screen. You will need a Nico Nico account to watch it since it's not currently on Youtube, but it's totally worth it. I personally like to use only, and hold the controller so that my index fingers are placed below the R2 buttons to prevent accidental pressing (happened quite a few times).Īll that being said, there is actually one pretty cheap method of beating it though, and that is using the following video: This is good in that you can find a button that you find the most comfortable, but it also means it's really easy to accidentally press another button and screw up your timing. No specific buttons are assigned to this portion, so any of, ,, , or the shoulder buttons would work. I've heard of someone beating it on their second try, while another person worked on it for 12 hours, so I guess the difficulty depends on the person too. The last note that must be hit even when they start talking at the very end, so listen for it in videos. This quickly becomes frustrating and time-consuming, because the hardest part is at the very end, where the screen blacks out and still expects you to hit notes. Also, one single mistake will become a Game Over, and you will have to start allllll the way from the beginning each time because there are no checkpoints. The notes themselves are not that hard to hit, but what makes the whole thing ridiculous is that the camera goes out of its way to make things confusing with the angles, so watching the screen will actually make you more likely to make mistakes. At the very end, there is a 8 minute long rhythmic sequence that plays very much similar to the boss of Ending E in Drakengard 1 if you have played it.
This is the trophy that will determine whether or not you can get the platinum trophy.
